4-Day Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru Safari with Big Five Game Drives

• Pick up at 0730 hrs, then depart for Lake Nakuru, a 3-hour drive from Nairobi to the main gate. You will pass through the Great Rift Valley scenery viewing escarpment en route. On arrival, enjoy a game drive before proceeding to your lodge for check-in and lunch.
• Later, head out for an afternoon game drive across the Pink Lake, often referred to by this name because of its great masses of flamingos, and view a variety of wildlife, including the famous white rhino and black rhino found in this park.

Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge.

• Depart from Lake Nakuru National Park after breakfast and proceed to Masai Mara National Reserve, arriving in time for check-in and lunch.
• After a short rest in the camp, depart at 1530 hrs for an afternoon game drive around the park in search of the famous big cats. At 1830 hrs, return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

• Spend the full day exploring the park in search of the Big Five, with a possibility of seeing the annual wildebeest migration that takes place from July to October. An optional hot air balloon safari can be arranged at an extra cost of $450 per person. Masai Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe, with over 450 species of animals recorded here. You may easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, wildebeest, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, leopards, many kinds of antelopes, and elephants. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place: the wildebeest migration. Dinner and overnight stay at the tented camp.

• Enjoy early morning game drives until 0930 hrs Kenya time, then return to the camp for a full breakfast. Check out of the camp and depart for Nairobi, arriving in the late afternoon. According to your schedule, you may be dropped at the airport for your flight back home or at your hotel.
