  • Transfer to Windhoek for your first night in Namibia.

Day 02

Windhoek to Sesriem and the Namib Desert

  • After breakfast, we depart for the Namib Desert. Here you will spend 2 nights in a rustic campsite near the towering dunes of the Namib; the camp is situated within the Namib Naukluft National Park at Sesriem. Depending on the time of arrival, and if you are not tired, it is recommended to have a sunset walk in the dunes with your guide and watch the sun go down from high up the dune.

Included: Breakfast, lunch, dinner, all camping equipment, transport, fuel, guide, and park fees

Not included: Sleeping bags, drinks and snacks

3
Day 03

Sossusvlei, Dune 45 and Sesriem Canyon

  • From one dune to another, this day will probably be the most memorable of your stay, and the longest. We start before sunrise to enjoy the sight of the rising sun from the famous Dune 45. These dunes are a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for their sinuous beauty, rich ochre colors, and hidden "vlei," natural evaporation pans stark white with gypsum deposits. Take a walk here and climb these towering dunes for fabulous views.
  • Return to the base, where lunch will be served; reflect on the eventualities of the morning.
  • In the afternoon, visit Sesriem Canyon, where the ephemeral river has cut an impressively deep canyon into the desert floor.

Included: Breakfast, lunch, dinner, all camping equipment, transport, fuel, guide, and park fees

Not included: Sleeping bags, shuttle to Sossusvlei, drinks and snacks

4
Day 04

Across the Namib to Swakopmund

  • After breakfast, we head northwest across the Namib Desert toward Walvis Bay and then Swakopmund. A stop for coffee and the famous Solitaire apple pie will be made.
  • Continue through the Namib Desert and the Kuiseb Canyon for your overnight stay in Swakopmund, where you'll have some free time in the afternoon to explore at your leisure.

Included: Breakfast, lunch, guesthouse, transport, fuel, guide, and park fees

Not included: Dinner, drinks and snacks

5
Day 05

Swakopmund to Spitzkoppe and Brandberg

  • Breakfast and departure from Swakopmund to Spitzkoppe, Namibia's "Matterhorn," a massive granite inselberg complex. After a short hike around these impressive granite formations before lunch, we continue our journey north to the impressive massif of the Brandberg (Burnt Mountain). Namibia's highest elevation is within this massif, as are thousands of ancient San rock paintings dating back some 4000 years BCE. We stroll in the foothills of the massif, along the terraces of the ephemeral Ugab River until lunch, exploring the endemic vegetation of Damaraland.

Included: Breakfast, lunch, dinner, all camping equipment, transport, fuel, guide, and park fees

Not included: Sleeping bags, drinks and snacks

6
Day 06

Damaraland and Twyfelfontein

  • The raw beauty of Damaraland is a must-see on any itinerary; the varied landscapes are absolutely magnificent. Like an open book, Damaraland's geology allows us to trace the history of this ancient landscape. Granite plateaus, black basalts, red sandstones, fascinating flora and fauna, and the lives of the unique indigenous people all come together here.
  • This day we thoroughly explore this region, visiting the Twyfelfontein rock engravings and the curious rock formations known as the Organ Pipes.

Included: Breakfast, lunch, dinner, all camping equipment, transport, fuel, guide, and park fees

Not included: Sleeping bags, drinks and snacks

7
Day 07

Twyfelfontein to Etosha National Park

  • Breakfast and departure for Etosha National Park, Namibia's famous wildlife reserve. The rich and varied wildlife and huge vistas, particularly of the massive central pan, are breathtaking. Our exploration takes the form of a game drive, going from one water point to another in search of wildlife.

Included: Breakfast, lunch, dinner, all camping equipment, transport, fuel, guide, and park fees

Not included: Sleeping bags, drinks and snacks

8
Day 08

Full-Day Safari in Etosha

  • Light breakfast, and departure before sunrise for another exciting day exploring the park. Sometimes we are instantly rewarded with good sightings; sometimes we need to patiently wait for the animals to come to us. By midday, the animals move into the shade, as do we, going out again as cohorts of animals start heading to the water, kicking up dust in the setting sun: behold the dazzling images of African beauty.

Included: Breakfast, lunch, dinner, all camping equipment, transport, fuel, guide, and park fees

Not included: Sleeping bags, drinks and snacks

9
Day 09

Etosha to Windhoek via Okahandja

  • Breakfast and departure for Windhoek, stopping on the way at the artisan craft centre in Okahandja. This night, dinner will be on us and can be taken at the famous Joe's Beer House, perhaps the most extravagant bar in Africa. Overnight stay at Londiningi Guesthouse.

Included: Breakfast, lunch, dinner, all camping equipment, transport, fuel, guide

Not included: Sleeping bags, drinks and snacks
