Day by day
Be picked up from the airport and drive to Sigiriya.
Stay overnight in Sigiriya.
Start the journey at 7:00 a.m. and visit the eighth wonder of the world, which contains enormous walls, water canals, security guard rooms, natural stone arches, mirror stone, and the world-famous Sigiri paintings. It is an isolated rock kingdom more than 200 m in height. You have to spend more than two and a half hours here.
Your second destination is the Dambulla Cave Temple, the largest and best-preserved cave temple in Sri Lanka. The caves were converted into a temple complex by King Walagamba during the 1st century. There are about 153 Buddha statues and murals covering 2,100 square meters.
Travel to Kandy and enjoy a Kandyan dancing event in the evening.
Visit the Tooth Relic Temple, where Lord Buddha's most sacred molar tooth is placed in seven golden caskets under a golden ceiling.
Spend the night in Kandy.
Travel in and around Kandy city.
Drive to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage to see milk feeding and elephant bathing.
Visit the Royal Botanical Garden, covered with colourful flowering plants, herbal plants, endemic and epidemic plant species, and palm family trees. Altogether, more than 4,000 varieties can be seen here.
Head to the viewpoint of Kandy.
Stay overnight in Kandy.
Travel to Kitulgala and enjoy water rafting. If you are above 10 years of age, you can experience exciting water rafting on the Kelani River at Kitulgala in Sri Lanka. Well-trained and experienced coaches will guide you during the rafting with all safety equipment and safety guards provided. The route includes about 5 km of still water and another 5 km covering major and minor rapids. This is an incredible experience you should never miss in Sri Lanka.
Drive to Nuwara Eliya and stay overnight there.
Drive to Horton Plains, the highest plain in Sri Lanka, and follow the 9 km circular walking track. The World's End viewpoint is the most iconic place, where you can see as far as the south coast of Sri Lanka. See Baker's Falls, another eye-catching scene, and discover Horton Plains, a susceptible natural zone in Sri Lanka.
Drive to the hotel in Ella. When you walk for about 30 minutes towards the train track, you can see Nine Arch Bridge. Little Adam's Peak is an attractive viewpoint to see sunsets.
Stay overnight in Ella.
Drive to Tissamaharama.
See the wonderful Ravana Ella waterfall soon after passing Ella. Ravana Ella is one of the most sweeping falls in Sri Lanka and is especially attractive.
By 1:30 p.m., you can join a Yala safari, an exciting and very popular event among tourists, as Yala is the second-largest wildlife reserve in Sri Lanka. It contains one of the highest leopard population densities of any national park in the world. If you are lucky, you can spot leopards.
Stay overnight in Tissamaharama.
Drive to Mirissa.
On your way, see the Hummanaya Blowhole and a turtle hatchery. The Hummanaya Blowhole pumps seawater up to 40 feet through a natural hole between two close rocks and sprays water into the sky.
Stay the night in Mirissa.
The dolphin and whale watching tour begins at 6:00 a.m.
Drive to the World Heritage Site of Galle Fort, built by the Portuguese and reconstructed during the Dutch period.
You can stay the night at Hikkaduwa.
Go to see the coral reefs and enjoy scuba diving and snorkelling under the safety supervision of well-experienced professionals. The Hikkaduwa coastal area is most suitable for surfing from November to April.
In the evening, enjoy a Madhu River boat safari and get natural fish therapy for self-relaxation.
Stay the night at Bentota.
There are no itinerary plans; be dropped back at the airport according to your flight departure time.
