From the itinerary
At a glance
Day by day
Start at 9:00 am with a transfer to the town of Nauta on the Marañón River. Observe the confluence of the Ucayali and Marañón rivers, then continue to our camp to leave your luggage and have lunch.
In the afternoon, take a walk to look for frogs characterized by their vibrant colours.
Return to base camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
Continue observing more wildlife as we head deeper into the jungle. Along the way, appreciate the flora and fauna, including the capybara, considered the largest rodent on the planet, as well as birds such as parakeets, macaws, and toucans, and perhaps groups of monkeys such as the machín or choro.
Return to the camp after lunch to look for alligators by the river.
Search for some species of howler monkey before returning for lunch. After lunch, sail downstream to the town of Nauta.
Transfer to Iquitos at 5 pm, where our staff will take you to your hotel or the airport.
