Bucharest to Brașov and Transylvania's Castles
Starting in the morning from Bucharest, head north towards the Prahova Valley and further into Transylvania, in Brașov County. But this road also takes us to the crown jewel of our mountains - a diamond hidden in plain sight that delights those who know where to find it.
Visit the charming Peles Castle, the Royal Family's summer residence, now open to the public. It offers a sense of the true nobility of heart and mind, as it stands as a work of love between King Carol I of Romania and Queen Elizabeth of Romania. It is yours to discover, and two smaller castles keep it company nearby: Pelișor and Foișor.
Continue through the Carpathian Mountains to Romania's world-renowned top attraction, Bran Castle.
