6-Day Cairo and Hurghada Tour with Mahmya Beach and Tannoura Show

• You will be picked up by your tour manager from Cairo International Airport upon arrival and escorted to your hotel in an air-conditioned deluxe vehicle.

• At the hotel, your tour manager will assist you with a smooth check-in and review your vacation itinerary to establish and confirm pick-up times for each tour.

Overnight in Cairo.

• After breakfast, you will be accompanied by your personal guide to the Giza Plateau to visit the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chefren, and Mykerinus, the famous Sphinx, and the Valley Temple facing the great statue. There is also an additional visit to the Solar Boat in front of the Cheops Pyramid available with an extra ticket purchased on the spot.

• Lunch will be served in a good-quality restaurant. Next, proceed to the Saqqara area to visit the Saqqara Complex and the first pyramid ever built, the Djoser Pyramid.

• Then move to Memphis, the capital of the Old Kingdom and its famous necropolis.

• Have breakfast and transfer to Cairo Airport. Upon arrival at Hurghada Airport, transfer to your hotel, where you can enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

• You will be picked up from your hotel in Hurghada for a fantastic day trip to Mahmya, boarding one of the two Mahmya boats.

• Sail for an hour to Mahmya Beach, situated on the southern shores of Giftun Island National Park off the coast of Hurghada. Mahmya means "Protected Area" in Arabic. To protect the coral reef and its marine inhabitants, the boats moor at buoys off the pristine bay, and you will be taken to the shore by smaller boats.

• Once on the island, you are free to snorkel among the impressive coral heads scattered in the clear lagoon, walk along the sandy beach, play beach volleyball, try scuba diving with the diving centre, or simply relax on the pure white beach. Lunch can be enjoyed at the restaurant, with seafood and Italian specialities, and later in the day you can enjoy drinks at the bar.

• Sail back to the marina, where you will be met, assisted, and transferred to your hotel for free time at leisure.

• After breakfast, you will check out from your hotel in Hurghada, then catch the flight to Cairo Airport and transfer to your hotel.

• Next, you will be escorted by your tour guide to visit the world-renowned Egyptian Museum in Cairo, built in neo-classical style and designed by the French architect Marcel Dourgnon. The museum's vast collection of over 120,000 artifacts ranges from the pre-dynastic era through the Pharaonic era to the Greco-Roman period of Egypt. Among the most famous items you may see are the funerary treasures of the child King Tutankhamun, the colossal statues of the heretic king Akhenaten, and the only surviving image of Khufu, creator of Egypt's Great Pyramid. Visiting the museum is a great introduction to learning about ancient Egyptian civilization, including their famous art of mummification.

• Continue on your fascinating tour of the Citadel of Saladin overlooking the city from the Muqattam Hills. The views from the high walls stretch across Cairo as far as the Pyramids and over Old Cairo. Inside the Citadel stands the magnificent Mohammed Ali Alabaster Mosque, built in Turkish style and very similar to the Blue Mosque in Istanbul, Turkey. It is considered one of the greatest landmarks in Cairo, and its minarets can be seen from any part of Old Cairo.

• Explore the Christian heritage of Coptic Cairo, including some of the city's early religious monuments such as the Hanging Church, also known as the Suspended Church. This basilica was named for its location above the south gate of the Fortress of Babylon and became the centre of the Christian Church of Egypt.

• Have a wonderful afternoon shopping at the famous old market in Cairo known as Khan El Khalili Bazaar.

• Transfer to attend the Tannoura show at Wekalet El Ghoury, built in 1504 A.D. during the reign of the Mamelukes. The Tannoura show is an amazing Egyptian folk musical night performed by 'El Tanoura Troupe for the Cultural Heritage', which has given varied performances in over 30 countries. At the beginning, selections of folkloric music are played by local Egyptian musicians, presenting Egypt's musical heritage. This is followed by the Tanoura Dance show and ends with a very special spiritual Whirling Dervish performance.

• After the show ends, you will be transferred to your hotel.

• After breakfast in the morning, you will be dropped off at Cairo International Airport for your final departure.
