Visit Nairobi National Park, established in 1946 about 7 km south of Nairobi, for an early morning safari experience from 6 am to 11 am. Fenced on three sides and open along its southern boundary, the park allows migrating wildlife to move between the park and the adjacent Kitengela plains. Enjoy a long game-viewing drive through this protected savanna landscape just outside the city.

It is open on its south-east perimeter, where the Kitengela Conservation Area allows a corridor for the natural migration of the game that takes place with the seasonal rains.

Day 01

Early Morning Safari in Nairobi National Park

Pick up at 6 am from your hotel or depending on your location. Established in 1946, Nairobi National Park covers 114 km (44 sq miles) of pristine savanna with a large stock of migratory game and lies between the Nairobi-Mombasa railway and the garden suburb of Langata. It is open on its south-east perimeter, where the Kitengela Conservation Area allows a corridor for the natural migration of the game that takes place with the seasonal rains.

Know before you go

• Please note the morning tour takes 5 hours, and the afternoon tour takes 4 hours from pickup to drop-off.

• This option uses a safari minivan or private car depending on the number of people in the group. There is also an option for a superior 4x4 vehicle at a different cost.

• Carry your own drinking water in a non-plastic vessel. The Kenyan Government has banned the single use of plastic bottles and paper.

• The parking fee is included in all options for non-Kenyan citizens.
