Mindo Cloud Forest, Waterfalls, and Chocolate Experience
Meet your tour guide at the agreed-upon location and start your tour after breakfast at 7:30 am. Drive through the western Andes with a wonderful stop at the birds' viewpoint to admire the forest and some birds from the area.
Mindo Nambillo Cloud Forest Reserve
Reach the waterfalls and decide with your guide how far you want to explore the area. The Waterfalls Sanctuary is a large complex with several waterfalls; depending on your physical condition, it is possible to visit up to 5 in a row or simply walk a little around, take a short cable car ride, and visit one of the nicest ones. Your guide will help you decide while there.
Mariposas de Mindo
Return to Mindo town, where you can choose optional tubing on the Mindo River. It costs 12 USD per person, and you will need to bring your swimsuit and a towel for this activity.
Stop in Mindo for lunch at one of the local restaurants if you are not going tubing.
Get to know more about butterflies, orchids, and the famous hummingbirds at the farm in town.
Yumbos Chocolate
Visit the chocolate farm, where you will learn the entire process before chocolate brownies reach your mouth. Did you know that the Ecuadorian jungle cultures started preparing chocolate more than 5,000 years before the Mexican aborígenes?
Drive back to Quito city and receive a drop-off at your hotel.
