3-Day Gorilla Trekking Tour in Bwindi with Equator Stop

• You will be picked up from Entebbe/Kampala for the first day of your 3-day Uganda Gorilla Trekking Tour.
• The drive from Entebbe/Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in southwestern Uganda takes about 8-9 hours. Although it may seem like a long journey, it is worth it for the countryside scenery, with some of the most beautiful landscapes ranging from plantations and hills all the way to the Virunga massif. Keep your camera close, as your driver will definitely stop if you need to capture a beautiful moment.

• Have an en-route stop at the Equator crossing at Kayabwe for photography and a simple experiment before continuing to Mbarara town for lunch.

• After lunch, continue on a scenic drive to Bwindi National Park or Kabale for an overnight stay at Rushaga Gorilla Havens Lodge or Trekkers Tavern Lodge.

• After an early morning breakfast, your guide will drive you to Ruhija Park headquarters for a briefing, where you will join others before heading into the forest for your gorilla trek. This trek can last between 30 minutes and 7 hours, depending on the location of the mountain gorilla family on that particular day.

• Once you find the gorillas, you will be allowed to spend one hour with them, observing their behaviour and taking photographs before returning to the park headquarters to receive your certificate confirming that you tracked gorillas in Uganda.

Overnight stay at Rushaga Gorilla Havens Lodge or Trekkers Tavern Lodge.

• After breakfast, drive to Kampala or Entebbe for your post-tour accommodation, or you may choose to fly out of Uganda on the last day of your tour.

• As you use the same route back, you will have another stop at the Equator crossing for photo moments, buying souvenirs, or simply relaxing before continuing to Kampala/Entebbe.
