Day 01

Explore the Abu Simbel Temple Complex

In the morning, leave your accommodation in Aswan with your tour guide and travel to the Abu Simbel Temple Complex.
Upon reaching your destination, learn about each of the two rock-cut temples in the complex:
- First, visit the Temple of Ramses II, built to symbolize power and pride in honour of the King Pharaoh's victories. The temple was designed in such a way that the statues inside are lit by sunlight twice every year: on Ramses' birth and coronation days.
- Then, head to the Queen Nefertari Temple. Smaller than the other, this temple is believed to have been built to honour Queen Nefertari and Ramses' children.
After the sightseeing, you will be dropped back at your accommodation in Aswan.
