Day 01

Hike to Machu Picchu and Overnight Stay

• Hike for 6 hours, passing by a pretty archaeological site along the way, then stay overnight at the hotel. This famous destination is a main journey for everyone, and 2 days is a great amount of time for the experience.

Day 02

Guided Tour of Machu Picchu Citadel and Return to Cusco

• Take a bus up to the site for about 25 minutes, then enjoy a 2-hour guided tour around the citadel.
• Take the train back to Cusco City.

Know before you go

• Booking must be done two months in advance to avoid inconveniences.
• Archaeology. It could be 1 or 2 days visiting the indescribable Inka city of Machu Picchu.
• Trekking. Minimum of 2 days and a maximum of 9 days, depending on how far the hike is.
• Jungle expeditions. It is possible with a minimum of 4 days, but to have a better experience deeper in the jungle, seven days is also recommended.
