The journey
Embark on a journey through Uganda to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a biodiverse mountainous rainforest in the southwest and home to some of the world's last remaining mountain gorillas. Trek through lush, mist-covered vegetation for the unforgettable chance to observe these majestic creatures in their natural habitat. The tour also includes a scenic drive through western Uganda's tropical rainforests, savannah fields, and the terraced hills of Kigezi, as well as a morning game drive in Lake Mburo National Park to spot zebras, impalas, giraffes, elands, Cape buffalos, and many tropical bird species.
Once you reach the mountain gorillas, you will spend a full hour with them, observing and learning about their behaviour while taking photos.

Day by day
Receive a warm welcome on your arrival at Entebbe International Airport. Your guide will brief you and transfer you to your hotel for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay at Protea Hotel or another arranged hotel as you recover from jet lag and prepare for the next day's adventure.
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and embark on a road trip to western Uganda, heading for the gorilla land of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. This is a long drive of approximately 7 hours, with a lunch stop en route. Though long, the journey takes you through varied landscapes, including tropical rainforests, savannah fields, and the terraced hills of Kigezi, famously known as the Switzerland of East Africa.
Make a stop at the equator to buy some snacks and take photos.
Arrive in the late evening for relaxation as you await the next day's adventure, followed by dinner and an overnight stay.
Have breakfast, attend a briefing by the park ranger guides, and then depart with picnic lunch boxes to begin the trek. The activity can last up to 4 hours or more as you hike up and down slippery slopes through dense, mist-covered vegetation in search of the mountain gorillas. For this reason, you will carry a packed lunch. This active quest will eventually bring you face to face with one of the world's most sought-after creatures - the mountain gorilla.
Once you reach the mountain gorillas, you will spend a full hour with them, observing and learning about their behaviour while taking photos.
Have breakfast early, then head out for a morning game drive in Lake Mburo National Park. This park is famous for zebras, impalas, giraffes, elands, Cape buffalos, and many tropical bird species.
Return to Kampala and transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your flight, depending on your flight schedule.
