Itinerary

1. Stone Town Tour

   • Meet your tour guide at the agreed-upon location in Stone Town and start at the old slave market (current Anglican Church), where you will get a chance to trace the history of the East Africa slave trade and discover the mark of world-famous explorer Dr David Livingstone and others missionaries.

   • Head onto the breathtaking fruits, vegetables, fish, meats, and spices market (Darajani Market), where you will get a chance to shop, test, photograph, and look for a fresh daily catch from the Indian Ocean and many fruits, spices, and vegetable from local Zanzibaris horticulture producers.

   • Dispatch to the narrow street of stone town up to Zanzibar Coffee House, where you will take a nap and enjoy the aromatic coffee of your choice.

   • Proceed up to Sultan Palace, where you will get a chance to capture the history of the Sultan Dynasty of Zanzibar and explore the ambience inside the majestic Sultan Palace.

   • Explore the Forodhani Garden, the famous evening resort where locals vend palatable seafood, sugarcane juices, BBQ, Zanzibar pizza, and a lot more.

   • Make the next stop at the House of Wonders (Bait el-Ajab), the East Africa tallest building, a ceremonial palace with many mysterious stories inside.

   • Visit the Old Fort (Old Arabic Fort), a battle arena, a famous primitive railway station, etc.

   • Let the tour take further walking up to the home of lead singer, songwriter, frontman and guitarist of the Rock Band Queen Freddie Mercury, where you will get a chance to hear his history and take a photo near Freddie's house.

   • Visit the French catholic cathedral (Notre Dame of Zanzibar), a well-sculptured church inside Stone Town's heart with many stories to tell.

   • Continue the tour by wandering around the narrows streets of Stone Town, exploring the Zanzibar door, and visiting many souvenir shops and boutiques.

   • Return to your pick up station, and the driver will drop you off at the hotel.
