Yala National Park - One Day Trip: Yala is an important, most popular, and second-largest wildlife safari park in Sri Lanka. It is located in the southeastern region and consists of scrub, light forest, grassy plains, and brackish lagoons. Among its more famous residents is the world's biggest concentration of leopards, Sri Lankan elephants, as well as many other animals including sloth bears, sambar deer, wild boar, water buffalo, junglefowl, jackal, eagles, and more. Enjoy a jeep safari ride while exploring its exotic plants and animals.
Yala National Park: Yala is home to a vast variety of mammal and bird species. Among its more famous residents are the world's biggest concentration of leopards, majestic elephants, sloth bears, sambars, jackals, spotted deer, peacocks, and crocodiles. Sri Lankan leopards are said to be a distinct subspecies from their Indian neighbours. Yala National Park is rich in birdlife, and around 130 species have been recorded. Raptors include the crested serpent eagle and white-bellied sea eagle. Among the water birds attracted to the lagoons are lesser flamingo, pelican, spoonbill, painted stork, rare black-necked stork, grey heron, purple heron, night heron, and darter.
