Itinerary

1. Day 1: Dar es salaam - Selous

   • Be driven after breakfast to Selous Game Reserve with a packed lunch that you will eat along the way.

   • Upon arrival in the reserve, embark on a boat safari on the Rufiji River. Here, you will view hippos and crocodiles in their natural habitat.

   • Have dinner later in the evening, and your overnight stay will be at the Lodge Hippo Tented Camp or Campsite.

2. Day 2: Selous Game Reserve

   • Embark after breakfast on a full day game drive in Selous Game Reserve with a picnic lunch. The game reserve is larger than Switzerland and Denmark and inhabits the largest population of elephant in Tanzania as well as a large number of buffalo, hippo and wild dog. You will also see lion, eland, bush-buck, giraffe, impala, baboon, zebra, crocodile, kudu. You will also have the chance to see the rare Sable antelope.

   • Return to your lodge for dinner later in the day and your overnight stay.

3. Day 3: Selous - Dar es salaam

   • Rise early and head to the park gate to take part in a walking trip in the wilderness accompanied by an armed ranger guide. The guide will take you through the bush to get close to the animals, plants, footprints, and droppings.

   • Drive back to your lodge for brunch.

   • Pack your things after brunch and leave for Dar es Salaam.

   • Arrive in Dar es Salaam where you will be dropped off at an agreed point. This is where your safari will end.
