Day 02

Journey to Pokhara and Sunset at World Peace Stupa

  • Get picked up by your trekking guide from your hotel and taken to the bus station or airport for your Pokhara journey. On the way, enjoy great views of the Himalayas and the countryside of Nepal, crossing alpine forests, green hills, and riversides. Pokhara offers magnificent views of Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchhare, Annapurna, and Lamjung Himal.
  • Enjoy boating on Fewa Lake in the evening and hike up to the World Peace Stupa for a sunset view over the Pokhara valley and the beautiful Annapurna massif. It is a perfect start to your trek.

Day 03

Drive to Nayapul and Trek to Tikhedunga

Start your journey to the mystical land of the Annapurna with a hearty breakfast.

  • Drive for 1.30 hours from Pokhara, which will bring us to Nayapul, a trekking starting point.
  • Take a short 15-20 minute walk along the banks of the Modi Khola to reach Birethanti (1,015 m), a large village with many shops and hotels. From there, the trail continues through the village and follows the north bank of the Bhurungdi Khola valley. The trail climbs steadily up the side of the valley to Hille at 1,495 m, and after a short climb, we reach Tikhedhunga at 1,570 m. Today's walk is relatively short and easy.

Trekking time: 3-4 Hours

Day 04

Stone Steps, Forest Trails, and Arrival in Ghorepani

  • Walk through Ulleri village to reach Banthanti for a nice cup of tea, then continue through fine forests of oak and rhododendron to Nangathanti for a fulfilling lunch.
  • Travel for 1:30 hours from Nangathanti to reach Ghorepani. Ghorepani is popular for the Poon Hill hike, which presents a spectacular sunrise view and a superb panoramic view of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain range.

Day 05

Sunrise at Poon Hill and Trek to Tadapani

Today is one of the most special days of your trek.

  • Hike up to Poon Hill very early in the morning, which takes about an hour, for the sunrise view. Poon Hill offers a wide range of Himalayan panoramas, including Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Lamjung Himal, and Manaslu. It is the most impressive mountain viewpoint in Nepal. The early morning hike is well worth it, as the expansive mountain view stretches from Lamjung Himal in the east to the Dhaulagiri Range in the west. These mountains have about a 150 km aerial distance between them, and we will see them right in front of us.
  • Trek back to Ghorepani for breakfast after enjoying the sunrise view.
  • Climb along ridges and through pine and rhododendron forests to Deurali (2,960 m). After that, descend to Banthanti for lunch, then turn off toward Tadapani.

Trekking time: 6-7 Hours

6
Day 06

Descend to Ghandruk Village

  • This is a good place to take a closer look at the Annapurna massif with a hot cup of tea in the morning.
  • Leave Tadapani and descend steeply through rhododendron forests. Then, the trail eases as we reach Ghandruk village, the capital of the Gurung people. This is one of the biggest villages in the Annapurna region. The village offers dramatic views of the mystic peaks of Mt Annapurna, Mt Machapuchare, Mt Gangapurna, and Mt Hiunchuli, along with slate-roofed houses beside paddy fields and people rich in culture and tradition.
  • You can visit the ACAP Head Office in the afternoon to watch the documentary show about the Annapurna Region.

Trekking time: 3-4 Hours

7
Day 07

Trek to Nayapul and Return to Pokhara

  • Trek from Ghandruk down through the village to the right side of the Modi River for a few hours to Birethanti. This can be considered one of the best and most relaxing walks of the entire trek.
  • Reach Nayapul, and then a 1:30-hour drive will take us back to Pokhara.

Trekking time: 4 Hours

Day 08

Return to Kathmandu and Farewell Dinner

  • Take an early morning deluxe tourist bus or an afternoon flight to Kathmandu. If you have time and are interested in extending the trip, white water rafting, a Chitwan jungle safari, a Lumbini visit - the birthplace of Lord Buddha - paragliding, and sightseeing will be ideal.
  • Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to the selected hotel.
  • Celebrate the successful completion of our journey in the evening with a farewell dinner served in a traditional Nepalese restaurant with cultural performances.
