Day 01

Medieval Walk Through Kotor Old Town

Meet me by the Port entrance or wherever we have agreed.
Enjoy a walking tour of Kotor Old Town, with special emphasis on medieval times and monuments dating from that period.
- Arms Square (Piazza), with medieval palaces and a Clock Tower
- St. Tryphon Cathedral
- St. Nicolas Orthodox Cathedral
- Northern Gate, with a river and a bridge that used to be a drawbridge, overlooking the old caravan road
Make a photo stop at the Old Town Citadel overlooking the port, fjord, and river (optional).
End the tour, and I will escort you to the port if you plan to return to the ship immediately after our tour. If you would like to spend more time in town on your own, I will explain how to get back to the port, which is a 5-7 minute walk from our last stop.

You will be amazed when you see and hear about the Northern Gate and its river, with the old caravan road above. Learning about the 4.5 km ancient walls from the 2nd century AD that surround the Old Town, and the fact that they are built on harsh slopes, will blow your mind.
