Get a pick-up at the agreed-upon location in Negombo/Colombo and begin the tour. You will be transported in an air-conditioned vehicle.
Start your day by visiting the Dambulla Rock Cave Temples, the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in the country. The Golden Temple of Dambulla is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This magnificent overhanging rock temple towering 600 ft high and close to 2000 ft in length was where King Vattagamini Abaya (King Valagamba) took refuge.
Hike the Sigiriya Rock Fortress which is a UNESCO heritage site. The ancient city of Sigiriya is a premier eco-tourism destination in Sri Lanka which was designated a cultural World Heritage Site in 1982.
Take an exclusive ride through the Minneriya National Park which is highly famous for its elephants and wildlife.
Witness the ‘Elephant Gathering’ with its collective number of over 150 elephants in one place. The types of wildlife and birds that live in the park or visit it are quite varied. You may get to see a crocodile or even an extremely rare grey slender loris if you are lucky.
