8-Day Tanzania Safari through Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Lake Eyasi

• Meet your safari coordinator at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport.

• Transfer to Masailand Safari Lodge for a safari briefing and overnight stay.

• Your guide will check your camping outfit and sleeping bag.

• Have breakfast, and then your local driver will collect you.

• Commence your safari with a 3-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, which is spectacular in any season. Many migratory wildlife species can be found in the permanent waters of the Tarangire River.

• Head back to the lodge.

• Drive to Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge, which takes between 3 and 4 hours. Olduvai Gorge is an archaeological site located in the eastern Serengeti plains, where early human fossils were first discovered.

• Enjoy an evening game drive in the Serengeti. It is a great time to experience the safari, particularly for the carnivores, as this is their favourite time to hunt.

• Return to the lodge before dark for dinner and an overnight stay.

• Venture out after breakfast to the Serengeti's watering holes, hippo pools, and other sites of interest on a full-day game drive.

• Partake in a picnic lunch at midday while enjoying the vastness of the Serengeti, with the largest concentration of plains on earth.

• Return to the lodge in the late evening for rest, dinner, and an overnight stay.

• Start your day with a morning game drive in the Serengeti, and later in the afternoon, drive to Ngorongoro via Olduvai Gorge.

• Reach the crater rim for dinner and an overnight stay at Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge.

• Drive down into Ngorongoro Crater after breakfast and enjoy a full-day game drive. It is undoubtedly one of the best places to see the rare black rhino in Africa. There are also lots of colourful flamingos and a variety of water birds.

• You are also likely to see leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, many antelope families, and small mammals of all sorts in the crater.

• Drive onward to Karatu town in the late afternoon, where you can settle in for dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

• Start your drive to Lake Eyasi after a well-prepared breakfast.

• See a great variety of birdlife along the shore of this beautiful lake, and the location alone makes it a great place to spend a couple of nights.

• Witness a wide variety of wildlife, including the elusive leopard, hippos, a variety of monkeys, and, most importantly, a host of both greater and lesser flamingos.

• Reach the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

• Drive early in the morning, after breakfast, from Lake Eyasi to Lake Manyara National Park.

• Spectate the different species of birds in Lake Manyara National Park. Zebras, impalas, monkeys, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, and warthogs are among the many species that highlight Manyara.

• Drive back to Moshi or Arusha before dark for dinner and an overnight stay.
