5-Day Montenegro Active Tour with Tara Rafting and Skadar Lake Cruise

Arrival at the airport (Podgorica or Tivat) or port (Kotor/Bar/Tivat). Accommodation in a 4-star hotel in Podgorica. City sightseeing.

We will welcome you at the airport and then head towards Podgorica.

We begin with a panoramic sightseeing tour with a guide, after which we will head to the hotel for check-in.

At the agreed time, we start an easy walk through the city accompanied by a guide - approximately 2 hours.

We start the tour from Republic Square, the main city square. We will pass through Bokeška Street, with its nice cafes and urban atmosphere, a favorite place for young people to go out. We will see the Millennium Bridge, which represents the visual identity of the city. We will visit Sastavci, or Skaline - the oldest bridge in Podgorica, which, according to historical facts, was established during Roman rule. We will also visit the Clock Tower and the Old Town, located in the very heart of Podgorica, which preserves a rich historical and cultural heritage. The most beautiful example of architecture remaining from the Turkish period is the Clock Tower, a symbol of Podgorica, which still dominates the Old Town area with its height. Then we continue towards the Centre of Contemporary Art - Kruševac - the former winter mansion of King Nikola I Petrović. After that, we walk to the Temple of the Resurrection of Christ, the third largest Orthodox temple in the world. At the end, we visit St. George Church, dating from the 9th-11th century, one of the oldest active Christian chapels in Montenegro and beyond.

Starting the tour at the agreed time. Driving towards Cetinje (Old Royal Capital) - approximately 30 minutes.

Arrival in Cetinje. City sightseeing includes Cetinje Monastery, Ćipuri Church, the former Njegoš residence - Biljarda, King Nikola's Museum, and the Presidential Palace - approximately 1 hour.

Driving to the Lovćen Mausoleum - approximately 40 minutes.

Arrival at Lovćen. Visit Njegoš's Mausoleum (461 steps to the top). The stairs to Njegoš's Mausoleum also lead through a tunnel in the mountain, and after a few minutes' walk, you arrive at the "sky under the clouds," at Jezerski vrh - Lake Peak - from where everything around you is spread out as if in the palm of your hand - approximately 1 hour.

Driving along the Lovćen serpentine road (duration approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes). There will be a pause for taking photos on the road, for which there is a story that the designer Joseph Slade devoted this route to Princess Milena, so this part of the route is in the shape of the initial letter of her name.

Coming to Kotor. City sightseeing includes the Old Town, the Square of Arms, the Cathedral of St. Triphon, the Church of St. Luke, and Cat Square - approximately 1 hour.

Lunch at one of the most famous restaurants in the city (about 1 hour).

Driving towards Budva (about 30 minutes).

Arrival in Budva. Accompanied by a guide, you will see the Old Town, walk through its winding streets, and enjoy views of the late Middle Ages squares that form a whole with solid ramparts, towers, city gates, and Orthodox and Catholic churches - approximately 1 hour.

Return. Arrival at the hotel. Free time. Overnight stay.

Departure in the early morning hours, driving towards Šćepan Polje. Duration of the journey: approximately 2-3 hours.

Arrival at the camp, meeting with skippers and other rafting participants, and a traditional Montenegrin breakfast at the riverside restaurant (approximately 1 hour 30 minutes).

Preparation for rafting - fitting neoprene clothing and footwear, safety belts, helmets, and a set for a GoPro camera - approximately 30 minutes. You can take cameras and mobile phones with you because there is a safe waterproof bag in your boat where you can leave your belongings during the rapids and use them during breaks, as well as in the quiet parts of the river.

Your adventure begins with a short and exciting drive by off-road vehicles to the starting point of the rafting tour, Brštanovica (approximately 40 minutes). When you arrive, the skipper will give you all the instructions you need for rafting, so the important thing is to listen carefully and follow what he says. He will also inform you during the rafting before each rapid.

Rafting with pauses for swimming and photography at the most beautiful places, including the unavoidable and most beautiful waterfall on the Tara (approximately 3-4 hours). The Tara River seems to have white, restless water stairs with beautiful, peaceful pools between the rapids that allow you to rest, take photos of its unique landscapes, or try swimming in crystal-clear but very cold water.

Back to the camp. Traditional Montenegrin lunch (various dishes - gourmet, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and other dishes of your choice, plus an aperitif of homemade Montenegrin brandy) - approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. Almost all products are of organic origin, purchased from local breeders and manufacturers.

Drive to the local traditional winery - approximately 45 minutes. Sightseeing of the winery, wine cellar, and vineyards. Learn about the production of wines, brandies, liqueurs, and jams.

Continue to Pavlova Strana, one of the most attractive viewpoints in Montenegro and the country's most famous "picture postcard." Photo break - approximately 20 minutes.

Ride to Rijeka Crnojevića. Sightseeing. This tour is a perfect opportunity to experience old Montenegro, as well as the former life in this region.
