The itinerary

Day 01

Arrival in Kathmandu

  • Arrive at Kathmandu International Airport, where you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is free to explore this historic and vibrant city at your leisure.

Day 02

Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour

  • After breakfast, we depart from the hotel for a full-day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu, the "city of glory." We visit Durbar (Palace) Square, the epicenter of religious and cultural life, an area filled with old temples, historical significance, and glorious Newari architecture. Some of the sights include Kal Bhairav, Hanuman Dhoka, Taleju Temple, Kasthamandap, and Kumari Ghar, home to the Living Goddess.

  • Afterward, we visit Swoyambhunath Stupa, said to be one of the oldest Buddhist stupas in the world, majestically set high on a hill overlooking Kathmandu Valley.

  • We then proceed to Pashupatinath Temple, a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. This massive temple complex sits along the banks of the holy Bagmati River. Only Hindus are allowed to enter the temple courtyard, while tourists can view the temple from the eastern side of the Bagmati River.

  • Later, we visit Boudhanath, a Buddhist stupa said to be one of the largest in the world. This massive structure stands tall with four pairs of eyes, each facing one of the four cardinal directions, watching over the righteous behavior of mankind and human prosperity.

Day 03

Fly to Pokhara and Explore Its Natural Wonders

  • After breakfast at the hotel, we take a scenic 25-minute flight to Pokhara. Upon arrival, we visit the deep and narrow gorge of the roaring Seti River, then continue to Davi's Falls, Gupteswar Cave, and the Bat Cave.

  • In the evening, we head to Phewa Lake for a leisurely row on its sparkling waters.

Day 04

Sarangkot Sunrise and Drive to Lumbini

  • Early at dawn, we hike up to Sarangkot viewpoint to witness nature's ethereal light show as the sun rises over the Annapurna range, turning its peaks from white to gold.

  • After breakfast, we drive to Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha. In Lumbini, we enjoy a half-day sightseeing tour. The spiritual heart of Lumbini is the Maya Devi Temple, where Buddha was born under a Bodhi tree. Other sights in Lumbini include the Ashoka Pillar, Buddhist Monasteries, the World Peace Pagoda, and the Lumbini Crane Sanctuary.

Day 05

Drive to Chitwan National Park

  • After breakfast, we drive to Chitwan National Park, a famous wildlife-viewing national park in Asia and a World Heritage Site. Here, we will have an excellent chance of spotting one-horned rhinos, deer, monkeys, leopards, wild elephants, the Royal Bengal Tiger, and 450 species of birds.

Day 06

Wildlife Activities in Chitwan

  • For wildlife viewing, birdwatching, and observing rare species of flora and fauna, we can either go deep into the park on a jungle safari in a four-wheel jeep, explore on foot, or choose a more relaxing canoe trip on the Rapti or Narayani Rivers. You may also opt for elephant riding, which is more thrilling than comfortable. In addition, we can head out to explore the surrounding Tharu villages.

Day 07

Return to Kathmandu

  • We drive back to Kathmandu.
