Day 01

Kathmandu to Kuri Village via Sukute and Charikot

• Depart from Kathmandu at around 6:30 am from the meeting point.

• By 9:30 am, you will reach River Bay Resort, Sukute, for lunch.

• At 10:30 am, depart for Charikot and arrive there by approximately 1:30 pm, finally reaching your destination, Kuri Village, by 6:00 pm.

Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 02

Kalinchowk Temple Visit and Dolkha Bhimsen Mandir Return

• Wake up at 4:00 am. After your morning activities, move to Kalinchowk Temple by 5:00 am. It is nearly a 1.5-hour hike to the temple, and you will return to the hotel by 8:00 am for breakfast.

• Then depart for Charikot Dolkha Bhimsen Mandir and have lunch at Charikot.

• Finally, at 1:00 pm, leave for Kathmandu and arrive there by 7:00 pm.

• Bhagwati Temple is a Hindu shrine in the Dolkha District of Nepal, situated in Kalinchowk VDC in Dolkha at an altitude of 3,842 m above sea level. It is part of the Gaurishankar Conservation Area, where the Sun Kosi and Tama Kosi rivers originate. This trip is an excellent choice for those who do not want to trek in Nepal but still want to gaze upon the Himalayas up close.
• Kalinchowk Bhagwati in the Gaurishankar Conservation Area is 3,800 m high. Kuri Village, at 3,200 m, is where your hotel is located. During winter, this place is covered by snow. Kalinchowk was the starting point of the Everest Base Camp Trek before Lukla Airport was built and started operating. From here, you can trek for 5 days and arrive at Lukla. Although a picture tells a thousand things, you surely do not want to miss the natural beauty of standing there in person. The cloudless blue sky and the snow-peaked mountains standing before you majestically are something no camera can fully capture.
• The one-night, two-day Kalinchowk tour package for couples is popular among local tourists. The tour includes a scenic drive, a hike, and a visit to Kalinchowk Bhagwati Temple. After reaching Charikot, drive on a rough road for about 2 hours to Kuri Village, where you will stay for the night. The next day, you take a cable car ticket and reach the temple. From the top, you can enjoy the fantastic view of Mt. Everest, Mt. Gaurishakar, and other sky-high mountains.
• The cost for this package is fixed at Rs 5,000 per person. A private room is provided with no disturbance.
• Kalinchowk is accessible all year round; however, the best time to visit depends on the purpose of your visit. If your preference is a short trek and visits to Kalinchowk Bhagwati Temple, then summer or autumn will be perfect, as the weather will not be too cold and accommodation prices will be lower. If you wish to enjoy snowfall or other snow activities, then December, January, and February are ideal months, as you will find snow everywhere. This is also the peak tourism season for this reason. You can enjoy many snow games during this time, including snowboarding. However, as it is peak season, the place will be crowded and accommodation may be a bit expensive. Kalinchowk Kuri Village is also a popular skiing spot.
• However, the best time for this fantastic view is in October, November, February, and March. You do not need to trek if you do not wish to, and you can drive up there for this view.
