The Coffee Farm Tour is a perfect getaway for coffee lovers and enthusiasts who want to gain insight into Nepal's growing coffee culture while exploring ancient attractions and rural villages. Along with visits to UNESCO heritage sites in Kathmandu Valley, this journey takes you to Chheskam, Mamerku, Bukur, and Patale to experience organic coffee farms, learn about cultivation, harvesting, and processing, and enjoy freshly brewed local coffee. Hike through lush woodlands and deep wilderness in the Khumbu region, visit village communities, and take in grand views of the greater Himalayan range. The tour also includes a sunrise vantage point with spectacular views of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, Cho Oyu, and other towering peaks.
From the peak, witness grand views of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, Cho Oyu, and several other 7,000-meter peaks basking in the morning rays of the sun.

Arrive at Kathmandu International Airport, where you will be welcomed by your local Nepali tour leader and transferred to your hotel for check-in.
The rest of the day is free for you to explore this historic and vibrant city at your own pace.
Meals: Welcome Dinner
After breakfast, head out for a full-day sightseeing tour of the Kathmandu Valley. First, visit Durbar (Palace) Square, the epicenter of religious and cultural life, filled with old temples, historical significance, and glorious old Newari architecture. Some of the sights here include Kal Bhairav, Hanuman Dhoka, Taleju Temple, Kasthamandap, and Kumari Ghar, home to the Living Goddess.
Afterward, visit Swayambhunath Stupa, one of the oldest Buddhist stupas in the world, majestically set high on a hill overlooking Kathmandu Valley. Then proceed to Pashupatinath Temple, a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. This massive temple complex sits alongside the banks of the holy Bagmati River.
Only Hindus are allowed to enter the courtyard of the temple, whereas tourists can view the temple from the eastern side of the Bagmati River. Later, visit Bouddhanath, a Buddhist stupa that is one of the largest in the world. This massive structure stands tall with four pairs of eyes, each facing the four cardinal directions, watching over the righteous behavior of mankind and human prosperity.
After exploring the valley, head to your accommodation. Later, join a brief orientation regarding the tour.

After breakfast, begin a long drive toward the north-eastern part of the country. Following endless rows of lush green sub-tropical woodlands and witnessing grand views of the greater Himalayan range, reach Chheskam, a village perched in the Solukhumbu District. Upon arrival, head to your accommodation, then later stroll around the village and start friendly conversations with the locals.
After enjoying your morning meal with a grand view of the landscape, head toward Mamerku. After a short trek of around two hours through the lush wilderness of the region, you will eventually reach Mamerku.
After a brief rest, move on to explore the farmhouse of the region. Learn about various herbs, including their harvesting, processing, and extraction. Also gain insight into the plantation and coffee culture of the area. After exploring the farmhouse, head to your accommodation and relax while enjoying the grand views of the setting sun.
Traversing the deep wilderness of the Khumbu region, head to Bukur. The trek takes you through sub-tropical woodlands with miles of undergrowth. As you progress, you will cross ridge sections with grand views of the landscape. Following these ridges, you will finally reach Bukur.
Wake up early and head out to a vantage point nestled at an elevation of approximately 4,500 meters. From the peak, witness grand views of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, Cho Oyu, and several other 7,000-meter peaks basking in the morning rays of the sun.
After enjoying the splendid sunrise views, head back to Bukur. From Bukur, follow the downward trail through sections of lush woodland to reach Mamerku.
Enjoy your breakfast with grand views. Then follow the descending trail through the deep wilderness of the Khumbu region toward Chheskam. From there, continue on a short drive to Patale.
On the way, visit various coffee farms in the region and enjoy freshly made coffee with grand views of the landscapes. Also gain insight into plantation and harvest practices. Later, start conversations with local farmers and learn about the coffee farming community. After the exploration, head to your accommodation in Patale.
After enjoying freshly brewed coffee with the views, begin the long drive back to Kathmandu. Crossing lush sections of woodlands and settlements scattered on hilltops and riverbeds, reach the Kathmandu Valley.
Today, you can stroll around the wonders of Kathmandu on your own or head out on a guided tour of the city. You may also visit various coffee shops around the valley and learn more about the coffee culture of the country. Later in the evening, join a special farewell dinner to mark the end of your adventure.

You will try various organic coffees and visit shops and farms to learn about the cultivation, harvest, and production of the local coffee industry.
Nepal is renowned for its tea industry, but in recent times the coffee culture has taken a boom. Various cafes around every corner of the valley provide locally brewed coffee. The history of coffee in Nepal dates back to 1938, when a hermit named Hira Giri brought coffee to Nepal from Myanmar. Cultivation was first done at Aapchaur in Gulmi and later spread throughout the country. As time went on, various commercial farms thrived around the country, producing several kinds of coffee.
The coffee industry has very wide potential in the country. Various regions have the perfect climate and topography for coffee, so from the central hills to the southern mid-hills, several farms are operating and producing several varieties of coffee.

After exploring various UNESCO heritage sites around the valley and visiting several coffee shops to learn about the coffee culture, the following day you will head on a long drive toward Chheskam, a village perched in the Solukhumbu District in the lap of the mighty Himalayas. Next, head toward Mamerku, traversing the dense old-growth forest of the Khumbu region. Along the way, witness splendid views of the landscapes and various settlements. Upon reaching Mamerku, visit the various coffee farms of the region. At the farm, try several coffee products, explore the area, and take part in various activities. Gain insight into the farming, harvesting, and processing of coffee.
Then move across the deep wilderness, following forested trails and ridges, and eventually reach Bukur. The next day, the thrill continues as you head toward a vantage point and witness grand views of the landscape and the sunrise. The sun illuminating the snowy-white peaks of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, Cho Oyu, and several other 7,000-meter peaks is a sight not to be missed. After exploring Bukur, retrace your steps back to Mamerku.
Thereafter, descend across the deep wilderness of the Khumbu region toward Chheskam and continue on a short drive to Patale. Along the way, explore various coffee farms and enjoy freshly brewed coffee with grand views of the landscapes. Next, head back to Kathmandu. In Kathmandu, stroll around the magical city while learning about the rich culture and history of the people. Also, visit various coffee shops in the region.
Meals:
Hygienic and authentic Nepali meals are provided. Western and continental meals are also available throughout the tour.
Various drinking water taps are accessible with natural water supplies. However, direct use of the water is not recommended. Buy bottled water or carry water purification tablets and chlorine drops.
