Cluj-Napoca to Posaga de Sus and Scarita Peak Hike

Travel 79 km in 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach Posaga de Sus.
Begin the hike in Posaga de Sus village, following a steep path through a beech forest that leads into an alpine zone with exquisite views of the calcareous white cliffs.
Pass by abandoned wooden hovels, climb the ridge, and reach the highest peak, Scarita, at 1384 m. The views from here are worth it, and you can quickly identify the Aries River valley, the Trascaului Mountains to the south, and the Muntele Mare plateau. The hiking route is full of wildflowers that you will identify along the way, so watch your step carefully to avoid crushing them. The hike is of medium difficulty, with 6 hours of hiking and 600 metres of elevation gain. No rock climbing is involved, and no special gear is needed.
In the evening, your guide will take you back to your accommodation in Cluj-Napoca.
