Full-Day Hike to the Base of the Towers

  • 6:30 am: Pick up from your accommodation in Puerto Natales.
  • 8:00 am: Arrive at Torres del Paine National Park and check in before beginning the full-day hike.
  • The starting point is the parking area near one of the park's main campsites and lodges.
  • 8:30 am: The hike to the base of the towers viewpoint takes about 4-5 hours, so be ready to use all your strength on this demanding trail. Along the way, there will be stops to enjoy the views, drink water, eat snacks, and use the toilets.
  • 1:00 pm: Lunch in the wilderness, hopefully with a view of the towers. Depending on the weather, a different sheltered spot may be chosen for a more comfortable lunch, but it is usually at the base of the towers.
  • 2:00 pm: Begin the return hike on the same trail. There is still a long way back to the car, and 3:00-4:00 pm is the ranger deadline at the viewpoint.
  • Return along the same trail to enjoy and better appreciate the scenery before sunset.
  • 6:00 pm: Reach the car and drive back safely to Puerto Natales.
  • 8:00 pm: Drop off at your accommodation.
