Drive to the homeland of red Columbus monkeys at Jozani forest. This species is rare to be seen in any other part of the world that is why they are endemic to Zanzibar. Spot other rare species of birds, animals and trees (Mangroves) found in the Jozani forest.
Stop at Zanzibar Butterfly Centre for butterfly watching and then proceed to Jozani. Zanzibar's tropical climate invokes the presence of hundreds of butterflies on the island. The Zanzibar Butterfly Center is a popular tourist attraction, especially for school-age children and their families. The butterfly tour here will educate you on the various life cycles of a caterpillar and its transformation. A normal tour lasts around 40 minutes, but you can spend as much time as you like.
