Itinerary

Day 1: Travel from Zanzibar to Mikumi National Park via Dar Es Salaam
- Head to Zanzibar seaport early in the morning.
- Take the ferry to Dar es Salaam from where you will be picked up and driven to Mikumi.
- Explore Mikumi for 4 to 5 hours.
- Have lunch in Morogoro Town.
- Enjoy Maasai village activities like traditional dance and learn about their culture.
- Learn about the Tanzanian "Boma" houses.
Head to camp Bastian (to your tent) for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Return to Zanzibar after a Safari Tour of Mikumi
- Receive a cup of coffee or tea around 6 am.
- Leave for the early morning game drive. Take a packed breakfast box from your campsite.
- Enjoy the safari tour as well as the view of the sunrise on the horizon.
- Try to spot the exotic animals that live in this reserve and witness them in their natural habitat. Some animals that are commonly seen are elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, elands, greater kudus, wildebeests, roans and sable antelopes.
- Return to your campsite in time to relish a hot lunch at Mikumi Bandazi.
- Participate in game drives post-lunch. Explore the Mikumi Park till 10 PM.
- Leave for Dar Es Salaam shortly after returning from the safari and then finally head to Zanzibar.
