Corinth, Nemea Wine Tasting, and Scenic Nafplio
- Meet your professional driver and begin the tour with a drive along the coast. On the way, you will see Greek seaside villages and the island of Salamis, where the historic naval battle between the Athenians and the Persians took place.
- Your first stop is the Corinth Canal, where you will have time to walk across a pedestrian bridge and admire the canal up close. On some days, bungee jumping is also an option.
- Continue to Corinth, dominated by the hill of Acrocorinth and the oldest and largest castle in southern Greece. The site at the foot of the hill includes the Roman Agora, the Temple of Apollo, and a small museum.
- Ancient Corinth is also one of Greece's most popular religious destinations, as this was where the Apostle Paul preached Christianity and established the best-organized Christian church of that period.
- Your next stop is Nemea, where you will visit the ancient Greek stadium and the Temple of Zeus.
- After visiting the site, head to one of the Nemean wineries. There, you will enjoy a short tour of the vineyards and storage barrels, learn about the wine-making procedure, and taste some of the winery's best varieties while taking in the view of the Nemean Valley.
- Lastly, visit the city of Nafplio, considered the most scenic city in Greece. It offers an outstanding combination of fortresses and castles, including Palamidi. You will also go to Bourtzi, a prominent port that opens to the Aegean Sea.
- Stop for lunch at a traditional seaside tavern, then drive up to the castle of Acronafplia for a panoramic view of Nafplio.
- Drive back to your accommodation in Athens.
