Basque Coast Villages, Txakoli Vineyards, and Mountain Views
- Meet your tour guide at an agreed-upon location in San Sebastian.
- Drive to the coastal village of Zarautz, where the marine tradition of whale hunting lasted until the 16th century. Walk along the beach and explore the town.
- Continue to the charming small fishing village of Getaria, home to Juan Sebastian Elcano, the first man to sail around the world.
- Discover the famous "Txakoli" local white wine vineyards along the coast.
- Head to the town of Zumaia, where the green mountains abruptly meet the Atlantic Ocean. Here, the mountains drop dramatically to sea level, offering beautiful views and the chance to observe rough rock formations formed over millions of years. Itzurun Beach, located here, served as Daenerys' entry point to Westeros in the seventh season.
- Travel past old Basque farmhouses, narrow mountainous roads, small villages, sheep, and cows, and experience the true essence of the Basque Country. Explore Ernio and Izarraitz mountains, which boast stunning panoramic views from the top with no effort, as your guide will drive you almost to the mountain top.
