2-Day Ol Pejeta Safari from Nairobi with Chimps and White Rhino

• 7:00 am - Get picked up from your Nairobi hotel or residence for a comfortable 4-hour journey to Sweetwaters. Along the way, pass through the fertile central highlands dotted with coffee, pineapple, and tea plantations.
• Travel through remote villages and enjoy magnificent views of Mount Kenya and the Aberdares, clearly visible on the horizon. You will also take well-deserved breaks for washrooms and refreshments.
• 10:00 am - Arrive at the Equator Marker and stop for photographs, as well as a free traditional Coriolis experiment presented by the local folks.
• 12:00 pm - Enter Sweetwaters Tented Camp in time for lunch. You may also spot animals drinking by the camp's watering hole.
• 3:00 pm - Proceed on an afternoon game-viewing drive in this sprawling park, where you may see herds of elephants, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, gazelles, warthogs, and more. The park is especially popular as a rhino sanctuary, so you are likely to spot many rhinos.
• Proceed to the chimpanzee sanctuary for a guided tour.

Continue your game drive until sunset before returning to camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

• 6:00 am - Arise early for coffee, followed by a morning game drive with your guide as you search for more wildlife, including lions and other predators that are usually active in the early morning. You will also have a chance to visit a tamed white rhino in the expansive rhino sanctuary. The game drives may also reveal rare animals unique to this area north of the equator, including the reticulated giraffe, beisa oryx, Grevy's zebra, Somali ostrich, and vulturine guinea fowl.
• 9:00 am - Enjoy a proper breakfast at Sweetwaters Tented Camp.
• 10:00 am - Depart Sweetwaters with an en-route game drive to the exit. Later, you will find a convenient place for lunch in Nanyuki town or along the way.
• 5:00 pm - Arrive back in Nairobi after 2 days of fun and adventure.
