Day 01

Auschwitz-Birkenau and Wieliczka Salt Mine

Visit Auschwitz I, where you will join an English-language tour provided by the Museum's guide for about 2.5 hours.
After that, transfer to Auschwitz II-Birkenau, about 2 km away. You will spend about 1 hour there with the same guide.
Explore the Wieliczka Salt Mine. To reach the first level of the mine, 64 metres underground, you have to descend a wooden stairway with 378 steps. After the tour, you will be taken back to the surface by lift.

Know before you go

Oświęcim is located some 31 miles (50 km) west of Krakow. It is where the former Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz-Birkenau is located and has become known as a place of martyrdom, suffering, and death.
The tour offers private transfer only for you to Auschwitz-Birkenau and the Salt Mine in Wieliczka, but the museum tours are shared with other people in groups of up to 30 at Auschwitz-Birkenau and up to 40 at the Salt Mine in Wieliczka.
The maximum size of bags and backpacks allowed inside the Auschwitz museum is 30x20x10 cm. For safety reasons, each person entering the Museum grounds will be subject to security checks, including the use of electronic devices to detect dangerous materials and objects. Those who refuse checks will not be allowed onto the Museum grounds.
The pick-up time depends on the day.
