Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial Visit from Kraków
Meet your driver at your Kraków city centre hotel and enjoy a safely secured 1.5-hour drive through the countryside to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial & Museum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On arrival, your driver will assist you in exiting the vehicle.
Enter Auschwitz through the gate still inscribed "Arbeit Macht Frei" - a German phrase meaning "Work sets you free" or "Work makes one free".
Visit Auschwitz I and II, where many former barracks and administrative buildings have been converted into memorial galleries housing moving exhibits. You will be able to access only a few of these areas because, for the sake of authenticity, the site has not been modernised.
Transfer to Brzezinka (Birkenau), where you will see the crematoria, gas chambers, and ramp, as well as some wooden and brick barracks. You will also be able to pay tribute at the Monument to the Victims of Fascism, which commemorates the 1.1 million people murdered here by Nazi Germans.
Return to the Auschwitz main entrance, board your vehicle, and travel back to your hotel.
If you need to use a restroom, the site has a disabled facility.
