The itinerary

Day 01

Colombo Arrival and Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage

Get picked up from Colombo International Airport and drive to Sigiriya.
En route, visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage.

Overnight stay at Sigiriya.

Day 02

Sigiriya Lion Rock and Minneriya Jeep Safari

After breakfast, climb the Sigiriya Lion Rock.
After lunch, go for a jeep safari at Minneriya National Park, where you can see over 50 wild elephants at once.

Overnight stay at Sigiriya.

Day 03

Dambulla Cave Temple, Cultural Show, and Kandy

After breakfast, drive to Kandy.
En route, visit Dambulla Cave Temple and, in the afternoon, see a traditional cultural show.
In the evening, visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic to see the holy temple as evening falls, while local Buddhists worship by bearing gifts of fruits to the shrine. You can also enjoy lovely views over the lake and the city.

Day 04

Kitulgala Adventure and Waterfalls to Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast, drive to Nuwara Eliya.
En route, visit Kitulgala for white water rafting.
See St. Clair's Falls and Devon Falls.

Day 05

Scenic Train Ride to Ella and Mini Adam's Peak

After breakfast, take the train to Ella and enjoy some stunning views along the way. Your Sri Lankan guide will pick you up from Ella Railway Station and take you to Mini Adam's Peak to see the sunset.

Overnight stay at Ella.

Day 06

Ravana Falls, Buduruwagala Temple, and Udawalawa Safari

After breakfast, drive to Mirissa.
En route, visit Ravana Falls and Buduruwagala Temple.
After lunch, go for a jeep safari at Udawalawa National Park, where you can see elephants, crocodiles, and many rare species of endemic birds.

Overnight stay at Mirissa.

Day 07

Galle Fort and Colombo City Sights

After breakfast, drive to Colombo.
En route, visit Galle Fort.
In Colombo, visit the oldest Parliament building and enjoy a lovely seaside walk to Galle Face Green.
Drop off at the hotel or airport.
