Day 01
My Tho, Vĩnh Tràng Pagoda, and Mekong Delta Village Life
- Meet your guide at your hotel in Saigon around 8 am.
- Arrive in My Tho and visit Vĩnh Tràng Pagoda. It is a large pagoda with a diverse architectural style that blends Asian and European influences, including French, Roman, Thai, Miên, and Chăm elements. However, the pagoda still retains the essence of traditional Vietnamese sculptural architecture.
- Take a leisurely boat ride along the river. Along the rural riverbank, you will see many local stilt houses, fishing villages, and fruit plantations.
- Have lunch in the orchard garden of a local family on Tortoise Islet.
- Continue by boat to An Khánh commune in Bến Tre province and visit a rural family business to taste their locally handmade products, coconut candies. You can also observe pastoral life as you roam through the village and local fruit plantations.
- Learn how to row hand-rowed sampan boats under the shade of water coconut trees along natural canals.
- Enjoy seasonal local honey tea, fresh fruits, and unique folk songs performed in the southern voice of the locals.
Finish the tour back at your hotel in Saigon.
