Day 01
Alexandria to Giza, Sakkara, and Memphis Day Tour
- Meet your Egyptologist tour guide in the lobby of your hotel or at Alexandria Airport. They will be waiting for you and will help you find them easily.
- From the moment your tour begins, your guide will give you their full attention. During the drive, your guide will talk to you about the sites along the way and other aspects of the tour that may interest you.
- Drive to the Pyramids at Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and enjoy a panoramic view of the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus.
- Visit the Great Sphinx, the Valley Temple, and stop at many outstanding photo points.
- Explore Sakkara, the cemetery of Memphis, located 27 km southwest of Cairo. This includes a visit to the Step Pyramid of Sakkara, the first proper pyramid built for King Zoser, considered an evolution of the pyramid from the simple Mastaba to the pyramid in its known form.
- Head to Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt, where you will see the Colossal Statue of Ramses II and the great Alabaster Sphinx.
- Return to Alexandria, where you will have the opportunity to take photos of the famous Library of Alexandria and the lighthouse site, then drive back to your cruise ship 2 hours before your departure time.
