Day by day
Get picked up from your hotel or airport and drive to Ruaha National Park, which is approximately 2 hours away.
On arrival, continue with a game drive and enjoy a picnic lunch in the park.
Later, head to the lodge.
Accommodation at Ruaha River Lodge (mid-range) on a full-board basis.
With a picnic lunch, you will go for a full-day game drive in Ruaha National Park with your Ruaha safari guide/driver.
Return to the lodge after sunset.

Rise early for a morning walking safari along the Great Ruaha River, accompanied by armed rangers, and then return to the lodge.

Ruaha National Park is one of the largest national parks in Tanzania. The park is about 130 kilometres west of Iringa. Its name is derived from the Great Ruaha River, which flows along its southeastern margin and is the focus for game-viewing. More than 571 species of birds have been identified in the park. Other noted animals found in the park are lions, East African cheetahs, leopards, giraffes, elephants, and hippos.
