Explore the islands near the historic city away from the crowds on this 4-hour kayaking, swimming, and snorkelling tour. After a briefing on kayaking and water safety, paddle out to the small island of Prvić for a swimming and snorkelling break, then continue to the uninhabited island of Tijat and its beautiful bay. This island-hopping experience combines active time on the water with relaxed stops in two scenic Adriatic settings.

Prvić is a small inhabited island with two settlements, Šepurine and Prvić Luka, famous for its 16th-century citizen Faust Vrančić, the inventor of the parachute.

The itinerary

Day 01

Kayak to Prvić and Tijat from Zlarin

• Meet at the designated meeting point and start from there.
• First things first - safety! We will go over the basics of sea kayaking and safety on the water, and we will distribute your water and snacks.
• Once you are all set to get on the water, start paddling towards the island and visit Prvić, where we'll make a break for swimming and snorkelling. Prvić is a small inhabited island with two settlements, Šepurine and Prvić Luka, famous for its 16th-century citizen Faust Vrančić, the inventor of the parachute.
• After the break, head towards the island of Tijat, an uninhabited island with a beautiful bay, popular among sailors because it offers excellent protection from the wind.
• Stop again for swimming and snorkelling, then head back to Zlarin after the break.

Know before you go

• The area covered by this tour is the most island-dense in the Adriatic, with an average distance between islands of only about half a mile, and there are many islands and coves along our route. The proximity of the mainland offers protection from wind, waves, and unpredictable weather. However, in case of emergency, the Coast Guard is only a few minutes away at any point during the tour. In addition, we have a speedboat for support. Wearing a PFD is mandatory whenever we are on the water. Please also understand that we will frequently remind you to drink enough water. Hydration is important.
