Know before you go

  • Strongly encourage all customers to bring a copy of their travel insurance documents (especially relevant international contact numbers) with them while on tour.

Visa:

  • Entry visas are required by all visitors to Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia, and the Visa team can assist you with the process of obtaining a visa letter (visa approval letter or invitation letter). The team will supply you with all paperwork and submit the visa letter on your behalf. Visas for Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos are issued with specific start and expiry dates based on the dates stated on the visa application form. Travel must be completed within those dates. It is advised that your passport must have at least six months of validity left on it when you arrive back home. A visa letter will be emailed to visitors 15 days prior to departure; if received after this, urgent visa processing fees may be applied.

Optional Tours:

  • Optional tours may be offered in each city you visit during your tour at an additional cost. These tours are not included in the standard itinerary and will only be available if time permits.

Dress code:

  • When visiting temples or mosques, both men and women should dress in conservative, non-revealing clothing. Full-length trousers with a shirt or T-shirt for men, and pants or skirts well below the knee with a top that covers the shoulders and upper arms for women.

Personal Expenses:

  • You will need to take some extra money to cover extra meals, drinks, laundry, and souvenirs. Based on the advice of previous customers, an approximate amount of USD 250 per person per week should be sufficient. However, for those who can't resist a bargain or may wish to participate in all of the optional excursions, consider bringing a higher amount.

Currency Exchange:

  • US Dollars are easily exchanged throughout Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. However, other currencies such as Indian Rupee can generally be exchanged at airports, provided notes are new and undamaged. For your convenience, ensure your US Dollars are from the new series to avoid any difficulties exchanging money during your trip (from the year 2006 onwards). It is suggested that you exchange your money before travelling to remote areas and smaller towns, as exchange facilities can be limited.

Tipping:

  • Local tipping is customary in Asia. However, this can often lead to awkwardness in knowing when it is appropriate to tip and how much, as well as ensuring you have a suitable amount of change available at the time. For your convenience, the minimum tipping amount for any private tours can be USD 3 per person per day at the end of the day.

Eating In SEA:

  • Southeast Asia is home to an incredibly rich food history. Your itinerary has been carefully crafted to introduce you to a wide range of local dishes, and we hope that you enjoy the culinary adventure ahead. Meals (excluding drinks) are included in the tours depending on each tour's itinerary, so please pay attention to the meal abbreviations and each day's tour titles to know which meals are included in the package and which are not. Normally, the tours include all breakfasts at your accommodation in each city, and lunch or dinner depending on daily tours or activities. Any special dietary requirements should be informed by visitors so that daily meals can be arranged accordingly.

Weather Condition:

  • Please refer to a credited website for detailed temperature charts.

  • In the case of bad weather or risks of tropical storms, the guides will keep you updated regarding weather conditions and risks as soon as possible and will offer different alternatives for you to choose from, possible scenarios that may occur, or amend the refund depending on which services you have opted for.
