Taipei 101, Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall and Longshan Temple
With your Taipei tour guide/driver, cover the following places:
Taipei 101 was once the world's tallest building. Its design draws on the image of bamboo, which represents humility and gentlemen in traditional Chinese culture. Go up to the 101 observatories and view Taipei City from 382 meters above the ground. You can also see the huge Wind Damper, which is designed to keep Taipei 101 stable during earthquakes or typhoons.
Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall is an important landmark in Taiwan's democratic progress. It is also home to the National Theater and Concert Hall. Liberty Square at the front gate is a must-visit spot in Taiwan. The grand scale and stable design of the traditional Chinese palace-style architecture are worth seeing and photographing.
Longshan Temple, located in the Wanhua district in western Taipei, was built in 1738 by Fujian settlers to bless the safety of the neighbourhood. More than 280 years after it was built, Longshan Temple remains the spiritual heart of Taipei.
