Tra Que Village Cooking Class and Farming Experience
At 8:00 am or 14:00 pm, your Vietnamese tour guide will meet you at the hotel.
Start the tour by cycling to Hội An central market.
Learn how to choose good, fresh ingredients to be used in your cooking lesson. The market is not only a place where local people sell and buy things, but also a close-knit community where they can meet and chat with their friends.
See many kinds of goods, fruits, souvenirs, and animals. The market is also the perfect place to learn how to bargain.
After that, continue cycling to Trà Quế, a charming little village of Hội An, where you will learn how to cook and compete with each other to become the new local Master Chef.
In the village, you will receive a special welcome drink from the locals.
After a short break, go with a local farmer to visit the village, which is full of herbs, vegetables, and fruits.
Learn how to do some farming, and wear farming clothes to try some light work using traditional methods from hundreds of years ago, with no electrical machinery.
Finally, go back to the local farmer's house.
Then, start the Trà Quế cooking class and learn how to prepare specialities such as Trà Quế vegetable salad Tam Huu, Vietnamese rice pancakes, and fried spring rolls.
At the end of the cooking course, the local master chef will announce who the winner is.
Later, enjoy what you have just cooked for lunch.
Finish the Trà Quế Vegetable Village half-day tour with a foot massage made from local herbal medicines.
Cycle or drive back to your hotel. Tour ends.
