Arrival, Saqqara, Memphis, and the Giza Pyramids
Upon arrival at Cairo Airport, your Egyptologist guide will meet you at the airport.
From there, begin your full-day visit to Saqqara, 27 km southwest of Cairo, where you can explore the first and oldest complete stone building complex known in the history of humankind, built by Djoser during the Third Dynasty around 2700 BCE.
Then visit Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt, where you will see a colossal statue of Ramses II and the great Alabaster Sphinx of Queen Hatshepsut. This city dates back to 3100 BCE.
After that, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant with a view of the Giza pyramids.
Continue to the Giza Pyramids and the Great Sphinx, the most famous monuments of the ancient world. These massive stone structures were built around 4,500 years ago on a rocky desert plateau close to the Nile and have always amazed visitors.
You will be transferred back to your hotel at the end of the tour.
