8-Day Horse Riding Tour in the Rhodope Mountains with Plovdiv

• Our guide welcomes you at Sofia or Plovdiv Airport.

• Transfer to Plovdiv - the second-biggest city in the country and one of the main cultural centres of Bulgaria.

• Transfer to Galabovo, where the horse stable is located.

• Enjoy a loop ride, passing by the small Kuklen Monastery.

• Travel back to Plovdiv and take a short stroll through the old quarters of the town in the afternoon.

• Start from Galabovo again, this time heading south into the mountains to reach Zdravets Resort.

• Continue to the small village of Lilkovo, where we stay overnight.

• Continue the ride, passing through several tiny villages and following Varhovrah Ridge with great panoramic views to reach Persenk Hut.

• Ride to Orehovo for lunch and transfer to Chudnite Mostove - a unique rock formation in the heart of the mountain.

• Continue to Orehovo village, where we stay overnight.

• From Orehovo, we head up to the ridge. Once we reach it, enjoy a nice gallop through the deep woods and vast meadows of Biala Cherkva.

• Have lunch and then descend to Kosovo.

• There is an optional visit to Bachkovo Monastery, the second-largest Bulgarian monastery.

Overnight stay in Kosovo.

• Enjoy breakfast and head towards Zdravets Hut for lunch.

• Continue the ride and reach the meadows of Galabovo, where we say goodbye to the horses.

• Experience wine tasting and an optional stop to see the Red Church in Perushtitsa, dating back to the late 5th-early 6th century, on our way back to Plovdiv.

• After breakfast, transfer to the airport in Sofia or Plovdiv for departure.
