Day 01
Luxor's Ancient Wonders and Nile Felucca Crossing
- Start by meeting your tour representative at your Luxor hotel or the airport. Visit the Valley of the Kings, where you can explore the tombs of the rulers of the New Empire.
- Next, visit the Temple of Hatshepsut, built in honour of Queen Hatshepsut, one of the few female pharaohs in ancient Egypt. The temple is unique in its design and contains detailed reliefs and impressive colonnades.
- Afterwards, see the Colossi of Memnon, two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. These statues have stood on the west bank of the Nile since 1350 BCE and are a popular spot for taking photos.
- You will then have a buffet lunch at a 5-star Egyptian restaurant serving traditional food, including a non-alcoholic beverage.
- After lunch, cross the Nile by felucca boat to visit Karnak Temple, the largest temple complex in Egypt, dedicated to the worship of the god Amun. The temple contains numerous buildings and chapels, including the Great Hypostyle Hall, which has 134 massive columns.
- Finally, visit Luxor Temple, built during the New Kingdom and dedicated to the god Amun. The temple is renowned for its stunning architecture and is home to various structures, including the Chapel of the Sacred Boat, the Hall of Columns, and the Colonnade of Amenhotep III.
- The tour concludes with a drop-off at your hotel, where you can relax and reflect on the many sights you have seen throughout the day.
