The itinerary

Day 01

Private Mělník Tour, Chateau Visit, and Wine Tasting

  • The tour will start with pickup from your hotel and a beautiful drive to Mělník (45 minutes).
  • Enjoy a short private tour of this beautiful historic town.
  • We will then visit Mělník Chateau and savour the view that 23 Bohemian queens and princesses enjoyed as they ruled over the region. Tour the chateau's beautiful interiors with a local guide. Please note that the tour may be with another small group.
  • Upon request, we can sample exclusive wine from the barrels stored in the castle's cellars.
  • We will then visit the Church of St. Peter and Paul, most famous for its crypt, where the bones of thousands of people are stored in an ossuary that was sealed in the 1780s by imperial decree and only reopened in the last century.
  • Before returning to Prague, enjoy the stunning viewing platform and see the junction of 2 rivers, the Vltava and Elbe.
  • After a relaxing escape from the city, we will drive back to Prague, where you will be dropped off at your hotel.
