Day 01

Prague Jewish Quarter and Culinary Experience

  • The day will begin at around 8:30 a.m., when your guide and driver will pick you up from your location in a private car.
  • We will head to the local farmers' market.
  • At the market, we'll meet the professional chef and enjoy an authentic shopping experience as we buy the ingredients to make a meal of your choice. You'll feel like a local shopping in the 19th-century market. With your chef, you'll prepare a three-course meal. Dishes include Matzah Ball & Goldene Joich, Hummus bil Lahme (lamb chops) & homemade pita bread, Shakshouka & homemade flatbread, and the infamous Prague Strudel.
  • You will also learn interesting facts about Jewish and Czech cuisine while cooking.
  • Finally, you'll conclude by dining together and tasting your finished meals.
  • Afterward, we will take you to the Jewish Quarter for a 3-hour historical tour.
  • We will view the interiors of four famous synagogues, the exterior of the Old-New Synagogue, and take a walk through the Old Jewish Cemetery.
