Prague Jewish Quarter Synagogues and Cemetery Tour

Meet your Prague tour guide at the agreed-upon location and begin the tour.
Visit four famous synagogues:
- The 13th-century Old-New Synagogue, the oldest synagogue north of the Alps.
- The Pinkas Synagogue, now a hallowed museum dedicated to the Czech victims of the Holocaust.
- The Klausen Synagogue, which contains a permanent collection of lore surrounding the Maharal.
- The Maisel Synagogue, with its extensive collection of Judaica.
Proceed to the Chevrah Kaddisha building.
Explore the Old Jewish Cemetery, with its densely packed layers of graves, up to 12 levels deep.

Know before you go

If you choose to do this tour in the morning, it is recommended to get an early start at 8:30 am for this 3-hour walking tour. Optionally, you can begin the tour in the afternoon at 2:00 pm as well. Starting at these times helps you avoid long queues and big crowds and allows you to buy admission tickets first at the cash desk. This will give you an unobstructed view of the sights and delights that the Jewish Quarter has to offer.
Meeting point option suggested by the guide: underneath the statue of Franz Kafka located at the Spanish Synagogue at Vězeňská 1, Prague 1. Please note: do not confuse this with the new Kafka statue in another district of Prague.
Entrance tickets to the Jewish Museum are an additional cost and are paid directly to the Prague Jewish Museum at the door. If you would like to, we can skip entering the Old-New Synagogue, in which case tickets will be only CZK 350.
