Day 01

Henri-Chapelle, La Gleize and Grandmenil

• Begin the tour by meeting your Bastogne tour guide and visiting the American cemetery of Henri-Chapelle, where nearly 8,000 soldiers are buried.
• Continue along the route taken by Kampfgruppe Peiper, infamous for the abuses it committed near Malmedy, and finish in La Gleize, where it had to abandon its tanks for lack of fuel and where one of them is still visible.
• Visit the Fraiture Barracks to discuss one of the many heroic acts carried out by American troops to slow down or halt the German advance at Parker's Crossroads.
