- Laomei Green Reef: The green reef at Laomei is a popular attraction on the north coast of Taiwan. Every April and May, it is covered by a green reef, making it a seasonal hotspot that travellers love to visit.
- Yehliu Geopark: See a landscape of honeycomb and mushroom rocks that have been eroded by the sea.
- Jiufen Old Street: This unique and once-isolated immigrant village in the mountains dates back to the Qing dynasty. During the period of Japanese rule in Taiwan, Jiufen experienced a gold rush. The area is also famous for taro balls, fish balls, and rice cakes.
- Shifen Old Street: Railroad tracks run through this old street, which is lined with shops and restaurants and is also known for sky lantern activities.
- Take a rest in a tea house to taste the delicacies of Jiufen. Jiufen became famous after Hou Hsiao-Hsien's film A City of Sadness, which tells a Taiwanese story set in Jiufen.
