Description
Hike through the Himalayan mountains through rice fields, dense forests, sacred valleys and hills to get the essence of the natural beauty of Nepal. Stay at villages along the way, enjoying the warmth of local hospitality and culture.
Itinerary

Day 1: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara [6 hrs]
Meet your Annapurna tour guide in your hotel around 6.30 am in Kathmandu.
Drive for around 6 hours through lush green forests, roads meandering through the hills and gracefully flowing riverside.
Get to see the lively markets and clusters of villages on the way.
Have lunch at one of the roadside restaurants.
After arrival at Pokhara, take some rest and explore Pokhara City and Lakeside during the evening.

Day 2: Trek to Tikhedhunga [1540m, 6 hrs]
After breakfast, take an early morning 1-hour drive to Nayapul.
Start trekking following the River Bhurungdi Khola.
Pass through the low land rice fields and orange groves along an easy trail with a gentle incline.
Following the trail reach the first teahouse and spend the night.

Day 3: Trek to Ghorepani [2860m, 7 hrs]
Leaving Tikhedunga, begin the journey with a steep climb to Ulleri ascending a steep stone staircase consisting of 3300 steps, a difficult challenge that rewards excellent views of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail Mountain), Gandharba Chuli and Annapurna II and III.
Passing through a huge, dense rhododendron and oak tree forest reach Ghorepani, home to Langur monkeys and musk deers.

Day 4: Poonhill [ 3210m], Trek to Tadapani [2630m, 5 hrs]
Before breakfast take an early morning climb to the top of Poon Hill for spectacular, panoramic sunrise views of the Annapurnas and Dhaulagiri mountain range.
After breakfast head out for an uphill trek through the jungle to Durali before a slight descent to Tadapani.

Day 5: Trek to Chomrong [2170m, 5 hrs]
From Tadhapani, make a steep descent through a dense, dark forest to the beautiful village of Chhomrong.
Trek past farmland and local, traditional Gurung villages offering marvellous views of Annapurna South and the sacred Mount Machhapuchhre before reaching the teahouse for the night stay.

Day 6: Trek to Dovan [2500m, 5 hrs]
Descend for 1 hour to the Chhomrong Khola River and cross its waters on a suspension bridge.
Ascend for the next 2 hours to Sinuwa. Bamboo grows wild in this area and there are many beautiful rhododendron and walnut trees along the trail.
After having lunch, pass through an area named after all the bamboo before reaching Dovan and our teahouse for the night.

Day 7: Trek to Machhapuchhre Base Camp [3720m, 6 hrs]
Gradually ascend following the banks of the river Madi passing through a sacred valley. No meat or fish is allowed in the area to comply with Buddhist and Hindu beliefs.
Continue to pass bamboo trees and if lucky, get to spot the Lophophorus bird, the national bird of Nepal.
Continue the ascent to the base camp and to the teahouse for the night.

Day 8: Trek to Annapurna base camp [4095m, 3 hrs]
After leaving Machhapuchhre Base Camp, enter a desert wilderness known as the Annapurna Sanctuary, an area of pristine natural beauty, surrounded by the glorious Annapurna Himalayas and glistening Annapurna glacier. Stay overnight in the teahouse.

Day 9: Trek to Bamboo [2310m, 6 hrs]
Get an early wake-up to enjoy the wondrous sunrise views of the Annapurna Sanctuary.
Begin the descent following the Modi Khola River to Bamboo Hut.

Day 10: Trek to Jhinu [1760m, 5 hrs]
Start the day with an uphill trek to Sinewa and then descend to meet the Chhomrong Khola River.
Ascend to the Chomrong before the final descent of the day to Jhinu.
Get to visit the natural hot springs to bathe in the relaxing warm waters.

Day 11: Trek to Nayapul and then drive to Pokhara [4 hrs]
Descend to the banks of the Modi Khola River and on to Nayapul.
Take a private car for a one-and-a-half-hour drive back to Pokhara and stay overnight in a hotel.

Day 12: Drive back to Kathmandu [6 hrs]
Arrive back to the capital and spend some time relaxing in Thamel.
A farewell dinner is served at a cultural restaurant in Kathmandu.
