Bayet-al-Kritliyya, Manial Palace and Al Manasterly Palace

  • Meet your Cairo tour guide at the agreed-upon location and begin the tour. Visit Bayet-al-Kritliyya, considered one of the remarkable examples of Muslim domestic architecture in Cairo. It dates back to the Mamluk period and was built by Hagg Mohamed Salem El Gazzar. See the museum, which consists of two houses built using the outer wall of the Mosque of Ibn Tulun as support. The two houses were joined by a bridge at the third-floor level and are collectively known as Bayt al Kritliyya.

  • Proceed to the Manial Palace. It was built by Prince Mohammed Ali Tawfik, the uncle of King Farouk. It was designed in a style that includes Ottoman and Persian influences, and it also houses many art artefacts, furniture, clothing, silver objects, and ceramic tiles.

  • Move towards Al Manasterly Palace, located at the end of Al Manial Island. The main characteristic of the place is the Nilometer, which was used in the past to measure the Nile floods.
